Working Beyond Capacity Involves Other People

Why Grow beyond your capacity?

Total capacity is a lid or ceiling you will not grow beyond until you learn how to expand your capacity. When you are at total capacity, you need some help!! Yes, you can do more and remember to be more efficient to grow, BUT real growth involves other people.

Nothing truly big or significant happens until you solicit and accept the help of other people! You will need a team, and you need to know how to lead that team to new heights to increase your capacity for more.

Business needs to grow, and reaching total capacity is a significant barrier that needs attention.

If it is just you, in the beginning, building a business, you will reach a point where you realize you need to invite others to help you get to the next level. When you have a team, you will get to the point where you will need to hire more people to grow above and beyond your new capacity.

Working beyond your capacity needs to happen in 3 areas for you and your team.

  1. Personal Growth
  2. Leadership Growth
  3. Team Growth

There is much more to it when it comes to other capacity issues like physical resources, buildings, supplies, production equipment, money, and consumer products.

Let’s take a look at the human capacity needs.

Working beyond capacity involves other people.

Personal growth is improving your work capacity.

We read books, listen to audio, get personal counsel and take action in a pursuit to grow and expand our ability to accomplish the things we value.

We work to get healthy to expend our energy. Work is all great, meaningful, and helpful to improve ourselves. It would help if you did to accomplish goals and increase your capacity.

The best you need to show up every day, and then you need to grow to the next level. Your focus prepares you to elevate others.

Be the example.

Have an obsession that is contagious when it comes to personal growth. The opportunity to personally grow is vital to your success.

Leadership expands capacity

We improve our overall capacity when we influence other people to improve. Focus on improving yourself first, and then helping others to improve their lives as well. Leaders understand the importance of expanding the team’s capacity! Many hands make the load lighter to carry. However, we reach another level when we increase our leadership capacity.

Great things seldom happen with personal achievement alone. Great things happen when a team of people get together and pursue something of significance. Working beyond your capacity always involves other people. Your efforts multiply when you get others on board to help.

Your leadership needs to nudge others in the right direction.

Cast the vision.

Communicate clearly.

Lead by example.

Develop trust.

Your leadership should elevate individual capacity, team capacity, and the capacity to achieve more.

Teamwork can make the dream work.

It is fantastic when people realize they have more to give and then focus on personal growth to increase contributions to the team. More starts to open, and bigger things get done.

An organization has many different tasks that need to come together for it to operate and grow. There is a leader who oversees the organization, and that leader then identifies other leaders to manage the various departments within the organization.

Capacity grows beyond the status quo when all leaders do their part and support each other. Creative ability expands when a leader takes ownership and finds a way to accomplish assigned tasks with the resources provided to them.

An eagle needs a right-wing and a left-wing to fly at total capacity. Working beyond capacity involves other people and helps them soar to new heights together as a team! As a leader, never clip the eagles’ wings under your leadership.

Working beyond capacity is growing.

Leaders need to pursue it, and every organization needs it to thrive. Believe in others more than they believe in themselves until they believe in themselves more. It will provide an environment where capacity and growth are achieved.

Allow a coach to expand your leadership capacity.

If you are at the top, make sure you seek counsel from someone who can help you grow to your potential. Tiger Woods had a coach, and so did Michael Jordan. You are never too big to get advice from a coach. Always chase your potential because you will never quite catch it. Doing that will move you toward your capacity and on to the next level.

Also, be the coach for your leaders. Invest in them personally to support their efforts to get to the next level. Leading followers is productive, and leading leaders is significant! Leadership includes developing more leaders.

Be obsessed with growing beyond your capacity.

Be obsessed with growth and allow yourself to be all in. Give everything you have in the areas that are important to you. Business, family, faith, friend, and whatever else you are obsessed with. You can achieve more than you think is possible.

Be unreasonable with your thinking. Expand possibilities in your mind and think about your next moves constantly. Write them down and get clarification on where you are. FOCUS on the plan and do not give you until the next level is complete.

There will be setbacks, and there will be challenges along the way. There will be times when you take three eps forward and two steps back. That is okay because resistance builds strength. Expanded capacity requires more power. That is why it is okay to be obsessed w h a never quit mindset.

You can do this, and your team will benefit from your commitment to getting to the next level. Don’t let anyone steal your dreams, and n er stop working beyond your capacity.

To your success.
