Incorporate Productivity Into Your Daily Routine

Incorporate Productivity Into Your Daily Routine

We all have 24 hours in a day, and time is the same for you as it is for me. Even so, it is incredible to me how some seem to get a lot more done throughout the day. Here are some tips on how to incorporate productivity into your daily routine.

Take 2-3 actions per day from the list below. Mix and match from the list each day depending on what you want to accomplish, and you will soon be super productive.

Early Morning

  • Pray and Read for 20 minutes.
  • Stretch and Walk for 30 minutes.
  • Make a list of things to do for the day.
  • Review yesterday’s accomplishments and add missed items to today’s list.
Morning
  • Read through emails and make a list of required responses.
  • Call people that will be difficult to reach later in the day.
  • Focus on complex tasks that require concentration while you are fresh.
  • Make sure your calendar is full of appointments and opportunities to sell.
  • Go on the sales call you hopefully already scheduled days prior.
Mid-Morning
  • Read for personal growth for 30 minutes. Take notes and learn something new.
  • Get outside and get some fresh air while using a cell phone to connect with someone.
  • Focus on follow-ups from prior meetings. Following up is key to closing deals.
  • Take time away from emails and the phone and work on a project that needs to get done.
Lunch
  • Have lunch with clients and customers.
  • Go to lunch where potential clients and customers eat.
  • Review the to-do list you made earlier and ensure you are on track for the day.
  • Walk, move and keep the blood flowing, so you have energy for the afternoon.
Early Afternoon
  • Increase your intensity and focus. (everyone else is falling asleep right about now)
  • Relax your head, neck, and shoulders, and breathe deeply.
  • Sit and think about something you need to solve or do for 20 minutes without interruption.
  • Have coffee with someone wiser and smarter than you. Ask good questions and listen.
Mid-Afternoon
  • Knock out easy tasks that need to be done and mark them off the list to see progress
  • Check-in with your team to ensure they are on track and feel supported.
  • Give your eyes a break from the computer and place a productive phone call.
  • Eat a nutritious snack and drink water to maintain a productive energy level.
  • Check your attitude and adjust it if needed. Stay as motivated as you were this morning.
Late Afternoon
  • Start making a new list of things you need to focus on tomorrow.
  • Review your day and identify things you did that wasted time & avoid those things.
  • Make a conscious effort to increase your actions and finish the day strong.
  • Send the team action items, encouragement, and provide others support.
  • Take 5 minutes and be thankful for what you have accomplished.
  • Read something informative, encouraging, or motivating.
Evening
  • Identify any must-do tasks you missed and get them done.
  • Review your to-do list again and focus on putting productive items on it.
  • Scan your emails and voice mails to make critical follow-ups.
  • Study your calendar and identify ways to fill it up with more productive tasks.
  • Call someone on your way home and improve your relationship with someone.
Be a hustler and be the most productive person on your team for your success.
